play and have some fun with us while learning the basic elements
of quiltmaking. We will make four patch blocks, frame
blocks and add borders while emphasizing cutting abilities,
quarter inch seam allowances, squaring up, and good general
techniques. Learn basic skills while having fun creating
this beautiful quilt.

Crazy
Quilting
This very unique little folded purse was inspired and created
from an elegant Victorian leather drawstring purse.
My 2004 version is made with Crazy Quilt piecing and as much
embroidery, beading, and embellishing as your heart desires.
It is not large, but so much fun to make. After the
piecing and embroidery are done on the front and back, then
it is constructed in a way that it folds together, so when
you put something in the bag, it opens up into a little pouch.
The piecing will be done on the machine, and the embroidery
and beading will be done by hand. This would make an
adorable evening bag or a very special gift for a bride to
carry on her wrist. Students could also work on traditional
blocks if they desire. SE

Machine
Applique Basics
Bring your machine and we'll cover the mysteries of the
zig-zag, fusible web and stabilizers. This basic technique
is a must for many projects. Please be sure that you
have an open-toe foot prior to class. We'll practice
common shapes, corners, curves and star points in the morning
and make a small angel in the afternoon. MR - PC
