This is the Curves and Corners page.  On this page you will find information about your class, templates, and fabric collections that are available.

Below are two different quilt samples. Both are constructed with batiks.  You may also use prints for this quilt.  Select fabrics with a lot of contrast.

Below are several different batik collections that we have assembled.  There are 24 pieces in each collection.

1/4 yard packs are $60.00.

1/2 yard packs are $102.00. That's a 15% savings!

(click on photos for a larger image)

1/4 yard packs are sufficient for the class project, not inclusive of borders.  Borders are typically a bright inner border and a dark/bold outer border.  We can customize your border selection when you place your order. The closest collection available for the quilt on the left would be Classic Brights.  The quilt on the right was constructed from the Tropical collection.  To customize your quilt, you are encouraged to add more variety from you own stash.

Templates Available

Rainbow Curves - This is a 4 part template set, as shown in the quilt on the right.  Each block finishes 8".

It gives you the option of a 2 piece block or a 3 piece block. $21.95.

Crazy Curves - This is a two part template set as seen in the quilt on the left.  Each block finishes 7".  $14.95

To place an order for either templates or a fabric collection, call us at 704-376-2531 or 704-864-4894.

A word about shipping -   We never know the exact price of a package until we go to the Post Office.  Our shipping charges are the actual USPS rates plus .65 for tracking information.  Your shipping costs will be charged separately from your merchandise cost.

Below is a copy of the supply list that you received form Mardell.  Feel free to call or email with questions.

Curves and Corners---Cindy Page, Teacher
This is a fun and fast quilt to construct using both curves and triangles. The pieces are large but the quilt is graphic and dynamic when completed. The border adds interest by continuing the design beyond the expected boundaries of the patchwork blocks. Many new quilters are intimidated by piecing curves but after this class you will be fearless.
In this class you can use either the Crazy Curves (7”) OR the Rainbow Curves (8”) template set from Elisa’s Backporch. You need to purchase only one of these template sets not both.

Crazy Curves Template Set (2 template pieces, 7" finished block) $14.95
Rainbow Curves Template Set (4 template pieces, 8" finished block) $21.95.
Batik collections and Print collections containing 24 or more Fat Quarters are available from our website www.quiltersgallery.net.
Prices are plus shipping and tax.
If you need to order a template set from me, please contact me before January 1, 2008 so I will have time to mail it to you and you will have time to do your cutting before class. You can contact me by email, or by telephone at 704-376-2531.

Supply List
General Supplies:
Sewing Machine with sewing surface/table extension. Bring your best machine.
1/4” foot
Rotary cutter and mat---Bring your 25 mm or 45 mm cutter. The 60 mm cutter is too large to cut these curves easily. An 18” X 24” mat is big enough.
Stiletto...my favorite style stiletto will be available in our booth.
Neutral color thread in a value that blends with the fabrics you choose.
Needles---size 10, 11 or 12
Pins---I prefer flower head pins. You’ll need 3 pins for piecing!
Iron
Extension cord
General sewing supplies (that covers anything I’ve forgotten to list.)
And most important, chocolate!

The quilt layout is the same for either size template---
8 blocks wide and 10 blocks long---plus borders

Take a second look at your template set before you start cutting to make sure you are using the correct cutting charts for the size templates you have chosen.
