"ALL ABOUT MACHINE QUILTING"

SUPPLY LIST


First of all, bring a relaxed attitude! This will help as much as anything!

Machine in good working order cleaned & oiled.

Walking foot & free-mothion foot. (Bernina owners #50 & #29, or #9 or #24
Embroidery foot.)

6 (12"x 12" is a good size) Sandwiches of Fabric, batting & fabric. Plain
cotton fabric, either muslin or a solid color of fabric with cotton
batting. I prefer "Dream Cotton" batting, but we will talk about all batting, so if you
have some use that for practice & use the good stuff for your quilts!

Machine quiting threads (40 weight). This can be purchased in class. YLI is
one  of the best!

100% cotton 50 weight thread for the bobbin (regular sewing/piecing thread,
Mettler or Gutterman.)

Machine quilting needles, #75/11 Schmetz.

Machine Quilting gloves. I prefer Atlas brand.

Safety pins or straight pins for pinning the sandwiches together.

General's chalk pencil for marking quilts.
