Your template and pattern are included in your class fee.

Choose a fabric  family, brights, plaids, 30's, black and white, or anything else.

Each block measures 9 1/2".  For each block you will 2 fabrics.  2 fat quarters will yield 3 blocks. 

So, we can figure your yardage more accurately at class time, but for 30 blocks (45" x 54")  you will need 20 fat quarters. 

Long yardage is easier for large quilts.  Plan about 8 yards for a double quilt and 10 yards for a queen quilt. Obviously we won't sew up every thing in class, so youcan customize borders and backing later.  See pattern for more information.

If you want to do some cutting before class, for each block you will need:

1 strip cut 3 1/2" x 22" (twist)

1 strip cut 5 1/4" x 22" (background)

one center square cut 3 1/2" x 3 1/2"

Machine with 1/4 " foot and slide-on sewing tray.
